Report: Broncos RB Willis McGahee will see less carries in 2012

All of the Denver Broncos news on Monday focused on Tim Tebow @TimTebow and how he has "earned the right" to open next season as their starting QB. But according to the Denver Post, a change is coming to the Broncos' running game, at least in terms of individual usage. On Monday, beat reporter Mike Klis wrote that head coach John Fox doesn't want Willis McGahee to be a 20-carry back any longer. "Fox wants another McGahee, although maybe a little younger and with a dash more speed," Klis wrote.

Fantasy Analysis:

That younger, faster running back should be Knowshon Moreno @knowshonmoreno, but he's currently on the mend after tearing his right ACL in week 10. Lance Ball @LanceBall35 looked like a very nice third-down back at times. We know McGahee is not going anywhere; he just finished the first year of a four-year deal. The Broncos are still going to be a run-heavy team next season unless Tebow makes some unforeseen improvements as a passer. So, McGahee will be involved quite a bit, but it sounds like he'll be giving away a decent amount of work. McGahee topped 20 carries in six games this season.
