Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski says he'll be fine for Super Bowl

The most severe-looking injury to a skill player during conference championship Sunday was suffered by New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski. Fortunately, just because it looked bad doesn't mean that it really is. Gronkowski's left ankle got rolled up on by Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard late in the third quarter. Gronk hobbled back to the locker room but returned in the fourth quarter and was able to finish the game. Although he left the stadium with his left foot in a walking boot, Gronkowski told reporters that the ankle is "fine."

Fantasy Analysis:

The injury looked very similar to what happened to Ben Roethlisberger in week 14 -- an ankle sprain which he played through but really struggled with for the rest of the season. Gronk seems to have gotten lucky this time. He most likely has a normal ankle sprain, not one of the high-ankle variety. He'll surely be limited in practice and will probably be listed as questionable on the team's final injury report next week, but he'll be ready to play in 13 days.
