Report: Ravens RB Ray Rice will not report to OTAs without long-term deal
On Monday, Ahmad Bradshaw made it known that he would not be participating in OTAs so he could rest his feet. According to Scout.com, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice
won't be participating in OTAs unless the Ravens fatten his wallet.
"Rice has been consistent in taking the high road when it comes to the negotiations, but sources emphasized that the versatile star runner has no plans to attend offseason workouts until a contract has been finalized," Scout.com's Aaron Wilson wrote Tuesday.
The Ravens and Rice have until July 15 to work out a deal. After that, Rice will have to play under the franchise tag, which would pay him $7.742 million this season.
Fantasy Analysis:
OTAs aren't a big deal for player such as Rice, so there's no need to worry about him yet. And maybe, just maybe, he'll show up without a new deal. Regardless, if Rice is going to holdout until he gets more money, I'm not going to worry about its impact on his fantasy value until August.
