Wide receiver Jerome Simpson has been handed a three-game suspension by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The suspension is one game less than expected, but Simpson's lack of prior offenses on his criminal record played a role in the reduced penalty. The suspension comes after Simpson was caught having two pounds of marijuana sent to his residence last year. He has already served his 15 days in jail for the felony drug charge.
