Blaine Gabbert's got to be happy: Jaguars draft WR Justin Blackmon at No. 5

The Jacksonville Jaguars got the wide receiver they so desperately needed to team with their young quarterback. The Jags took Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon with the No. 5 pick Thursday night. Jacksonville moved up to draft the two-time All-American in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It cost the Jaguars their No. 7 overall pick as well as a pick in the fourth and seventh round.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Jaguars signed free agent Laurent Robinson @LaurentRobinson, but Blackmon gives the Jaguars a tall, big-play threat. He's not going to blow the doors off of any defense -- he has drawn comparisons to Anquan Boldin -- but he can be a huge volume receiver with the ability to break tackles. It's something that QB Blaine Gabbert @BlaineGabbert required. But I'm not sure this pick will cure all that ails him. His pocket presence is still horrid, and Blackmon's immediate fantasy numbers will suffer. I'd give Blackmon a look in a PPR league.
