Browns with a slight surprise take QB Brandon Weeden at No. 22
The Cleveland Browns were rumored to be interested in 28-year-old quarterback Brandon Weeden leading into Thursday's draft. But in the first round? When the Browns made that move at No. 22, the draft got its biggest "whoa" reaction from the crowd up to that point. In a matter of one round, the Browns have reconstructed the face of their offense. They traded up to take running back Trent Richardson at pick No. 3 earlier tonight.
Fantasy Analysis:
He won't have the longest career, but Weeden has good accuracy and certainly a bigger arm than Colt McCoy
. McCoy's jump will be up for grabs in camp, and it wouldn't be a huge shock to see Weeden under center come week one. It will depend on how quickly he can learn the system after coming from Oklahoma State's spread offense. Fantasy wise, I wouldn't buy into him. But his presence should mean better things for players such as Greg Little
.
