Colts take another Stanford product: TE Coby Fleener

The Indianapolis Colts went Cardinal-Cardinal in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. After taking quarterback Andrew Luck at the top of the event, the they choose a Stanford teammate tight end Coby Fleener @coby with pick No. 33 Friday. Fleener will look to fit into a position that has been cleared out by Indianapolis as Jacob Tamme is in Denver and Dallas Clark is a free agent without many teams biting.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Colts also took another tight end at the top of the third round on Friday -- Clemson's Dwayne Allen @Dallen83 -- but Fleener should be the more attractive option for fantasy gamers. He has above-average burst but also has the size at 6-foot-6 to be a goal-line option. More than anything, Fleener and Luck have continuity, which should help both rookies settle in quicker than usual. Fleener will most likely begin as the team's lead pass-catching tight end, and he should be given TE2 consideration right away given his familiarity with the QB. Allen figures to be more of a blocker.
