49ers add another dimension to offense with RB LaMichael James
A night after adding another wide receiver into the mix, the San Francisco 49ers picked up another running back on Friday. They drafted Oregon running back LaMichael James
with the No. 61 pick. And thus, the 49ers keep collecting interesting offensive pieces. Of note besidees James, they've added Randy Moss, Mario Manningham, Brandon Jacobs
and first-round pick A.J. Jenkins since the end of last season.
Fantasy Analysis:
I'm not sure how Jim Harbaugh and Co. is going to make all of these moves work, but I am very interested to find out. The obvious comparison for James is New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles. Unfortunately, Alex Smith is not Drew Brees, and James will enter camp trailing Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter
and Jacobs on the depth chart. But given his supreme quickness and elusiveness, the 49ers will find ways to get James on the field. He most likely won't get enough touches in his rookie season to matter in most fantasy leagues, but he's a big play waiting to happen. I think Hunter's value suffers the most as a result of this pick.
