Saints RB Mark Ingram out 6 weeks after knee surgery
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram
, who dealt with heel and toe injuries during his 2011 rookie season, is now working up his way up when it comes to maladies. Ingram underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday and is expected to be out of action for six weeks, according to sources. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the story. Ingram's surgery was reportedly a clean-up procedure that had nothing to do with a specific injury. He is expected to miss team minicamp this month but should be ready to go in time for training camp.
Fantasy Analysis:
Just another injury concern for the young RB, and those concerns are really mounting. The knee problems are nothing new for Ingram as he has now had multiple knee scopes performed in the past couple of years. And then there are the seperate foot issues he suffered through last season. If everything is equal, I'd rather have Ingram than Pierre Thomas
, but Ingram's seemingly brittle legs will keep me away from him unless he really takes a tumble during my draft.
