Eagles lock up RB LeSean McCoy with 5-year extension

Philadelphia Eagles runnng back LeSean McCoy @CutonDime25, who scored more touchdowns than any player in 2011, has been rewarded with a five-year contract extension. Sides agreed to the extension on Thursday night. Sources say that the deal is worth $45 million with a little more than $20 million guaranteed. If McCoy plays out the length of the contract, he'll remain an Eagle through 2017. He gained 1,624 yards from scrimmage last season with 20 total scores, two more than Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski

Fantasy Analysis:

After a disappointing rookie season in 2009, McCoy has become one of the NFL's best dual-threat running backs. Over the past two years, he has averaged about 110 yards from scrimmage per game. He gets the ball in all areas of the field and maybe most importantly, McCoy has missed just two games in his first three seasons. He's a top-5 pick in drafts.
