TE Dallas Clark signs on with Buccaneers
One of the biggest names still available on the open market found a home Monday. Former Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Financial terms have not yet been disclosed. Clark, who will turn 33 years old next month, caught 100 passes in 2009, but his last couple of seasons have been marred by injury. During that time, he missed 15 of 32 regular-season games.
Fantasy Analysis:
With his age, injury concerns, and the Colts wanting to rebuild, Clark was expendable. And yes, he is a big name because of what he did in 2008 and 2009. But it's hard to envision him holding up for a full season after what we've seen from him over the past two years. It's only May, but I'm not real high on Clark. I will say this: Vincent Jackson, Dallas Clark, Mike Williams -- I have no idea how it's all going to work, but the Bucs have done a nice job of surrounding Josh Freeman
with some receiving talent. However, this isn't going to be a pass-first team.
