Bears WR Johnny Knox knows he might miss entire 2012 season
On Dec. 18, 2011, in a game against the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox
had his body bent in half backwards. The hit required surgery to stabalize a vertebra in his back. For such a serious injury, Knox understands that he might not be able to play at all this season.
"It could happen, but I'm staying optimistic," Knox told reporters on Wednesday. "My main focus is in the weight room. I'm not in a rush. This is my spine, the core of my body I'm dealing with. It's not my knee, ankle or shoulder. I'm taking my time."
Fantasy Analysis:
As such, there is absolutely no timetable for Knox's return to the field. His absence isn't as important for the Bears now that Brandon Marshall has been acquired and Alshon Jeffery has been drafted. Earl Bennett and Devin Hester also remain. Knox has had a couple of decent season, but he obviously shouldn't be on your cheat sheet going into a draft.
