Colts sign No. 1 pick Andrew Luck to 4-year, $22.1 million contract
One day after Robert Griffin III got his money, the man taken one pick before him in April's draft signed on the dotted line. The Indianapolis Colts and quarterback Andrew Luck agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $22.1 million Thursday. That's $1 million more than what was given to RGIII. Luck, who missed most of spring practice because he was finishing up his degree at Stanford, will be in attendance when Colts rookie camp opens Wednesday.
Fantasy Analysis:
Say what you want about growing pains. That's valid, but when you take a NFL-ready QB such as Luck, place some pretty nice targets around him in Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, and college teammate Coby Fleener, and put him on a team with a bad defense, the rookie is going to produce right away. I think Luck will rack up a ton of cheap, garbage-time points this year and be a solid QB2.
