Bengals CB Dre Kirkpatrick could miss 'much of camp'
NFL.com's Jason La Confora reports #17 pick CB Dre Kirkpatrick
has sufferend an injury in the "knee area" that could sideline him for "much of camp".
Fantasy Analysis:
This is bad news for a team that is also short at the cornerback position because CB Leon Hall is still recovering from a torn Achilles. Kirkpatrick was drafted to help out in the pass game and try and push the Bengals into the next tier of the playoffs. With the uncertainty of both players the Bengals could very well look for help on the free agent market for another cornerback as a "stop-gap" fill-in until one or both Hall and Kirkpatrick can get on the field. Obviously Kirkpatrick will need some time to pick up on the speed of everything in the NFL before he can take over in a starting roll since he will miss getting the reps at Training Camp.
