Fantasy NASCAR Preview: Pocono
12. Jeff Burton, #31 AT&T Mobility Chevrolet, Richard Childress Racing
As usual, Burton will be good for a solid top 10 this weekend. He was 9th in both races in 2007 and had finishes of 13th and 11th last year at Pocono. You want more from your class A driver than he will offer this week.
13. Martin Truex, Jr., #1 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet, Dale Earnhardt Inc
Truex was 3rd last June and looked incredibly strong, then came back in August and finished 22nd. You can't know for sure which version of Truex will show up on Sunday, but he's not a bad class B option.
14. Matt Kenseth, #17 DeWalt Tools Ford, Roush-Fenway Racing
Kenseth made a step in the right direction with a competitive run at Dover, now he heads to a track where he has finished 5th, 14th, 9th, and 14th in his last four starts. He isn't on par with other A drivers for this weekend though.
15. Carl Edwards, #99 Office Depot Ford, Roush-Fenway Racing
Edwards had finishes of 1st and 4th in 2005, but since then has been better than 20th only once at Pocono in four starts: a 14th place run last year. There are better class A choices available this weekend.
16. Kevin Harvick, #29 Shell/Reeses/GM Chevrolet, Richard Childress Racing
Harvick has 4 career top 10's in 14 starts, but has never even led a lap at Pocono. You want more from your class A driver than that.
17. Brian Vickers, #83 Red Bull Toyota, Red Bull Racing
Vickers is a great class C choice this weekend. He had two 4th place finishes in 2006, so expect him to improve upon last season's results of 29th and 35th now that his team is putting together some solid equipment.
18. Greg Biffle, #16 3M Ford, Roush-Fenway Racing
Like teammates Edwards and Kenseth, Biffle isn't on par with other drivers in his class this weekend. He only has 1 top 10 in his last 4 starts at Pocono.
19. Bobby Labonte, #43 Cheerios Dodge, Petty Enterprises
Labonte has 3 wins at Pocono in his great career and has finishes of 8th, 12th, 8th, 19th, and 30th in his past five races there. He isn't in the upper echelon of B class drivers, but could have a solid weekend.
20. Juan Pablo Montoya, #42 Texaco Havoline Dodge, Chip Ganassi Racing
Montoya was only average at Pocono last year, netting finishes of 20th and 16th. While he should improve on results that were better than a lot of other drivers, there are serious contenders in the class B group to choose from.
21. Kasey Kahne, #9 Budweiser Dodge, Gillett-Evernham Motorsports
Kahne has 2 top 10's in 7 Pocono starts, but his last three finishes on the Pennsylvania speedway have been worse than 20th.
22. David Ragan, #6 AAA Ford, Roush-Fenway Racing
Ragan has been solid on a lot of tracks this year, but Pocono is a place where you don't want to take a chance on him. He didn't come close to cracking the top 20 last year and he isn't on the same planet as other class B choices.
