Comments: NASCAR Picks for Michigan

It was a surprisingly rough trip to Watkins Glen last weekend. From the laundry list of mechanical issues and Tony Stewart spinning out while battling from the lead to the crazy final two laps on a track covered in oil, fantasy owners had plenty of opportunities to see their afternoon turn ugly. Hopefully this weekend's trip to the spacious surface of Michigan International Speedway will be a little kinder to fantasy owners.

The 2.0-mile D-shaped oval is known for its high speeds and three-wide racing, along with the occasional fuel mileage finish. Earlier this year, tire issues forced NASCAR to change compounds right before the race, throwing a major curveball to most teams. Things should be a little smoother this time around since drivers and crew chiefs will have an entire weekend to work with the new compound. Assuming NASCAR actually throws cautions when they are needed instead of letting drivers bounce off one another and spin like they did at The Glen, this weekend's race should be a nice rebound opportunity for fantasy owners.

Brian, Where are you getting your information? Last week's race is not a good indication of where our boys are going to be next week. Please wait on the porch the next time you have a hot tip.

I'll be happy to clarify something, but I am a little confused as to what you are referencing. The only mention of last week's race I really see is in the intro and in my comments about Kurt Busch. If you give me some more specifics, I will certainly provide additional info.

Thanks
