2013 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1 (part 2) of 2
17. PIT: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia*
Jones is a steal at this point, considering he was once rated a potential No. 1 pick just a few short months ago. The Steelers are aging at linebacker and require some new blood at the position.

18. DAL: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
Williams had a terrific Senior Bowl and has remained one of the more under the radar first-round picks. He would allow the Cowboys to move some players around along the defensive front, like possibly moving Jay Ratliff to defensive end.

19. NYG: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Fluker does not have the quick footwork necessary to play left tackle. He can manhandle defenders on the right side though. The Giants don't have an immediate need at right tackle, but their line is aging almost across the board.

20. CHI: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
As tight ends see more and more targets and receptions every season recently, look for some offenses to revamp the position. The Bears have needed a playmaker like Eifert since they allowed Greg Olsen to walk out their front door.

21. CIN: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
Cyprien is highly-touted option outside the sanctuary of the major conferences. Look for a safety-happy team to grab him somewhere around pick No. 20 to 35.

22. STL: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Hunter is all raw athleticism. The former college track star could prove to be an eventual superstar in a year or two.

23. MIN: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
There is not much that has not already been said about Te'o. Overrated, maybe even underrated. He had one of the best defensive college football seasons of all time last season, like him or not and he is a near lock as a first round pick or close to it.

24. IND: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA*
UCLA's Jones has slowly climbed draft boards in recent months. He is a well-balanced player who can give the Colts a much needed pass rush.

25. MIN: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Patterson isn't quite as boom or bust as some would have you to believe. He is electric with the ball in his hands and surely has a career as a H-back if concerns about his route running are truly that serious.

26. GB: Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
Green Bay's pass protection faltered last season and must rebound in 2013. Watson isn't a Day 1 starter. He will need some grooming and coaching up in the short term.

27. HOU: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Allen would usually be the No. 1 WR in any given class, yet he slips to third at his position on my big board because of the upside of both Austin and Patterson.

28. DEN: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Werner falls all the way towards the bottom of the first round after being slotted as a Top 5 pick for most of this evaluation process.

29. NE: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
Hayden has quickly climbed draft boards due to his elite instincts and awareness. The Patriots are solid with Aqib Talib in the fold, yet have often stocked up on corners in the past.

30. ATL: Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise State
Taylor is another late-blooming cornerback. He displays great recognition and cover skills. Shows few weaknesses in both man and zone coverage.

31. SF: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
The 49ers have 13 picks in this draft and may opt to trade down if a lot of their guys are still available. Carradine outplayed his teammate Werner at times, which is a key reason why he is still available.

32. BAL: Matt Elam, S, Florida
Baltimore was able to find a replacement for Ed Reed and have yet to replace Bernard Pollard. Elam is a sure thing and a guy John Madden would refer to as, ''one heckuva football player.''
