Dennard has a cousin in the NFL, Alfonzo Dennard, who is currently with the New England Patriots. He has carved out his own niche though as one of the best cover corners in the nation and won the 2013 Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the nation's best college defensive back. Outstanding route recognition. Reads quarterback's eyes and reacts quickly. Decisive in his movements. Always in position and rarely beat by double moves. Great press jam at the line. Smooth when opening up hips to transition into a sprint. Could be a beat slow when getting out of his backpedal. Teams rarely threw his way. Anchor for the Spartans' top pass defense. Above-average fluidity in his movements. Still perfecting his man coverage technique, particularly the footwork. Average recognition against the run. A beat slow getting off blocks. Seals the edge well tackles well in space. Not afraid of contact. Could afford to add more strength. Average straight line speed. Not particularly an explosive athlete. Tracks the ball well. Can usually come down with the catch when leaping. Dennard projects as a Top 20 pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.... [Read More]
This well-built running back out of LSU opted to enter the NFL Draft after his redshirt sophomore season. He averaged nearly seven yards per carry last year, setting a new SEC record. Hill will need to overcome some character and off-the-field concerns, but they will likely push him down some draft boards. Ideal size for a workhorse back. Runs upright, a bit stiff and will take a lot of unnecessary contact. Solid burst and hits top speed after a few strides. Doesn't have a noticeable second gear, yet he makes the most out of his quick feet by churning out tougher yards. Can move the pile and drag a defender or two. Youth works in his favor, but LSU did ride him hard last year. May not be a factor on third downs and was used very little as a receiver. May have less success against NFL defenses since the college game is full of undersized athletes who can struggle with tackling. Less than average vision. Character concerns are very real and will hurt his value. Considering his size, he doesn't always play up to his strength. Slow change of direction. Hill projects as a late second to third rounder in the 2014 NFL Draft. FANTASY OUTLOOK: Probably not a contributor in his ... [Read More]

After leading the Crimson Tide to an incredible 34-2 record under his tenure, McCarron is the next great Alabama quarterback in line to hit the NFL. An exemplary leader and student of the game, McCarron has the mental acuity and enough of the necessary physical tools to compete at the next level. Very competitive and fiery leadership. Will challenge his teammates and is vocal with his teammates to stay on task and focused. Excellent decision-making with the football. Limits turnovers and bad throws at an elite level. Knows when to get out of the pocket and just get rid of it. Will not hang on to the ball and force the issue. Really good accuracy in the short game. Arm strength is average. Decent velocity, nothing special. Winds up when he throws at times. Insufficient arm strength to make the big throws. Poor accuracy beyond 25 to 30 yards. Surprisingly evasive. Faster than most would expect. Pretty good pocket awareness but can look a bit excitable when running for a first out of a broken pocket. Scouts will love his personality and leadership. Very willing to put in the work in film study. McCarron projects as a third rounder in the 2014 NFL Draft.... [Read More]
