2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma

Peterson appeared to waffle a bit with his decision, but ultimately he made the right one and declared for the NFL Draft. He has been anything but durable throughout his college career and Peterson does not want to risk an even more significant blow than the one he suffered this season. Furthermore, Peterson is clearly the best running back of this year's draft class. Had it not been for the unfortunate injury midway through the season, Peterson could have given Troy Smith a run for his money for the Heisman and most likely would have finished second. If drafted into the right situation, Peterson can step in and make an immediate contribution. With amazing vision and cutback ability (to go along with great size and speed), the former Oklahoma Sooner is ready for the next level. Peterson should not go any lower than No. 8 to the Houston Texans.
