2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
personLevi Brown, T, Penn State
Brown is an enormous specimen at 6'5" and 325 pounds. As one would expect from an offensive of that tackle magnitude, Brown is already an outstanding run blocker and will immediately boost the running efforts of whichever team selects him. A pretty good athlete, especially for someone of his stature, Brown should be able to develop into a fine pass blocker as well, sooner rather than later. Word out of the Senior Bowl is that Brown has been beating speed rushers to the outside and dominating anyone who attempts to bull-rush him. NFL scouts will also love the fact that Brown is arguably the most experienced player in the 2007 draft. After taking a redshirt in 2002, Brown started all 12 games as a freshman the following year and has been the stalwart of the Penn State offensive line ever since. He will be able to play either tackle or guard at the next level. If Brown keeps up his fine form, look for him to crack the top 20 on draft day.
