2007 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Leon Hall, CB, Michigan

Leon Hall is an excellent all-around cornerback who excels in zone coverage. He is very solid at man to man coverage and can hold his own against most receivers. He plays with an aggressive style and likes to be physical in press coverage at the line of scrimmage. Hall is considered fast, however he lacks the elite speed of some NFL corners which may create problems against deep speed routes downfield. He shows good quickness while changing directions with receivers, moving to the inside or outside while remaining in position to make a play on the ball. Hall can also be a factor in the running game and does not shy away from sliding inside against the run. His quickness also allows him to be effective coming off the edge on the blitz. Hall was a standout cornerback at Michigan and really came into his own during his junior season starting all 12 games and leading the team with four interceptions. He earned All-American honors his senior season and set a Wolverines' record with 43 passes defended in his career. Hall is a very talented cornerback with solid coverage skills and should be a top 15 pick on draft day.
