2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Andre Roberts, WR, Citadel

The 5-11 wide receiver has been supremely productive since his freshman campaign in 2006. That season he caught 35

passes for 557 yards and 5 TDs. He went on to improve his totals two-fold the following year, ending up with 78 receptions for 1,060 (13.6 per catch) yards and

10 TDs. Roberts then continued his excellent play with a 95 receptions, 1,334 (14.1) and TDs performance in 2008 -- this included an impressive (9 catches for

153 yards and 1 TD) effort against Clemson.

Roberts is amazingly consistent, with a rare ability to find the ball and adjust. He is quick, fluid and

smooth. Able to read coverage well, he knows how to get separation from defenders while showing a quick burst out of cuts. He has a fine repertoire of double

moves to get open and gives a solid effort as a blocker.

Although, he does lack top end speed (4.50), bulk, and strength. Roberts could struggle to beat

NFL jams, as he is not a big threat downfield or in the red zone. He tends to show more quickness than pure speed; he will need more experience running

pro-style routes.

Roberts has the quickness and smarts to gain consistent separation from defensive backs, but his lack of speed and bulk would hurt his

draft status. He does have the receiving skills to develop into a quality reserve in the NFL. Right now, he projects as a mid-to-late round pick, possible the

fifth or sixth round.

Prediction: 3rd Round

excellent showing at senior bowl. A real sleeper in this draft. he can return the ball on special teams as well. reminds me of an eddie royal type player. I like his potential.

Prediction: 4th Round

Doesn't have the ability to shine in the NFL like he did against weaker competition.
