Boo Robinson Scouting Report
Projected Draft Position by FFToolbox Writers
2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
personBoo Robinson, DT, Wake Forest
Boo Robinson lacks the size to play defensive tackle in the NFL at his current 6-2 and 295 pound stature. The good news is Robinson has room to add more weight. Robinson has continued to add some weight, but no matter his size, he has been very productive. As a redshirt freshman in 2006 he only started one game, but still tallied an impressive 35 tackles and 2.5 sacks. In 2007 he was a permanent starter on the defensive line and totaled 23 tackles, 6.0 tackles-for-loss and 3.0 sacks.
It was in 2008 when Robinson started garnering some national attention and put up numbers that deserved All-ACC honorable mention accolades. Thus far the 2009 campaign has not gone quite as well. Robinson does have 25 tackles, but he only has 3.0 tackles-for-loss and one sack through nine games. Those numbers are not too surprising considering Robinson is more of a run stuffer than a pass rusher.
Robinson's size is his biggest issue and that will knock him out of the first round (and maybe even the second round). Robinson is full of potential, but he is a mid-round selection at best at this point and that will not change unless he has a great showing during senior week.
