2008 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

John Greco, OT, Toledo

Greco started his career at Toledo in 2004 when he started all thirteen games at right tackle. In his sophomore season, he earned First Team All MAC honors. He followed with an even better junior season, earning another all league selection after starting all of Toledo's games. In 2007, he re-validated as a First Team All MAC offensive lineman and was a preseason Lombardi Award (best lineman in the country)selection. He caped off a stellar college career with an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl game. He is an experienced four year starter with good size and is an overall good athlete. He can get off the ball and into his setup quickly since he has a wide base. Possessing a strong leg drive, he works hard to sustain and finish his blocks. He is durable. He struggles moving laterally and when changing direction, so he must stay low and maintain leverage. He still needs to improve his technique, because he gets beat with double moves. Greo can be over aggressive sometimes, tending to lose focus. He may not be agile enough. Greco is a big man with room to add a couple of pounds, but uses his size very well. Sometimes he tends to play too tall. He needs to get more aggressive in run blocking, so he needs coaching in zone blocking. His technique needs correction. Greco is an average offensive lineman that would probably be drafted higher than his skills merit.
