Darius Reynaud, WR, West Virginia

With West Virginia's run first, run second, pass maybe offense, Reynaud was overshadowed by Pat White and Steve Slaton, but after a big junior season, the speedster elected to come out and forego his final season (along with Slaton and defensive end Johnny Dingle). Reynaud sat out in 2004 for academic reasons (but would've gotten to play next season for graduating on time) and in 2005, he was a part of West Virginia's Sugar Bowl-winning team, catching 30 passes for 297 yards and five touchdowns and rushing for another touchdown. In 2006, he had a breakout season, catching 39 passes for 520 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 221 yards (15.8 yards per carry), and had a 27.1 yard average on kickoff returns, with one return for a touchdown. As a result, he was named second-team All-Big EastThis past season, he was White's main option in the passing game, catching 64 passes for 733 yards and 12 touchdowns, and he added 103 yards rushing and a touchdown, while averaging 26.4 yards per kickoff return. Reynaud has very good speed and quickness and has the potential to be a good slot receiver and kick returner. He is a little on the small side, coming in at only 5'9, but he has good bulk for his size (201 pounds) and good strength (20 bench press reps at the combine), so he won't necessarily get thrown around in matchups. He projects as a middle-round prospect, but there's a chance he could sneak into the first three rounds.
