2014 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Marcus Roberson, DB , Florida

Roberson's above-average height and selective physicality made him one of the better corners in the SEC over the last two seasons. After a serious neck injury in 2011, he has since become an excellent player who should rank among the top CBs in the 2014 class.

Not the most fluid athlete. Good football instincts and ball skills. Can go up and make the interception at the highest point. Adequate recovery speed. Average zone coverage. Plays with anxious feet at times and must learn to how to better feel where he should be on the field. Aggressive style of play can help or hurt him. Smooth hips and transitions when in press-man. Good arm length.

Much better in man. Shows nice route anticipation and can stay with a receiver in his hip pocket. Too much hand-checking when running downfield with a receiver. Very competitive and plays bigger than his frame. Sub par tackler. Durability was an issue during parts of his collegiate career.

Roberson projects as a late first to early second round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
