Mike Reilly Scouting Report

Reilly enrolled at Washington State in 2003, transferring to Central Washington University the following season. He sat out the 2004 season, but stated all ten games he played in 2005, completing 223 out of 353 passes (63.2) for 2,696 yards with 30 TD and 11 INT. In 2006, Reilly posted a 231-351 attempt/completion ratio (65.8) for 2,660 yards with a 21-13 TD/INT ratio. Reilly really exploded in 2007 with an impressive 271-435 ratio (62.3) for 3,386 yards and 30 TD with only ten interceptions. He established a College Football record with 41 consecutive games with at least one TD. Reilly is a good athlete with deceptive speed (4.80). Reilly has good arm strength and is a very accurate passer who can zip the ball on the intermediate level. However, his accuracy diminishes somewhat on his deep balls. His mechanics are good for a lower level performer, and he reads defenses with easy and goes through his progressions well. The level of competition is not an overwhelming concern. Reilly belongs in the NFL. He is moving up in some Draft Boards. Being a natural leader, he is one of the sleepers in the Draft. His offensive system is more complex tha some of the BCS' teams, so he is very accurate and competitive. With better coaching and improved mechanics, he could find himself playing on Sundays one day. A sixth or seventh round prospect today, he could move up quickly.
