2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person
Chris Brown, RB, Oklahoma
As a true freshman in 2006, Chris Brown had to compete with Adrian Peterson and Allen Patrick for carries. That is some tough competition. Injuries forced him into action and Brown showed everybody that he would be the next great back for the Sooners. Starting against Baylor that season, Brown rushed 24 times for 169 and a touchdown. He had multiple touchdown games against Colorado and Oklahoma State. That is not bad at all for somebody who only played in five games. In 2007 Peterson was gone, but DeMarco Murray was in and Brown failed to live up to expectations. He carried the ball 158 times and scored nine touchdowns, but it was Patrick and Murray who were making the big plays. Brown was back on top of the depth chart in 2008. He had 217 rushes for 1,220 yards and an impressive 20 touchdowns. Brown was the workhorse and Murray was the more explosive playmaker. The same thing is happening in 2009, although everybody's rushing numbers are down this season as the opposition focuses on stopping the run thanks to the injury to signal caller Sam Bradford. If Murray goes pro, it will be interesting to see which Oklahoma running back goes off the board first in the NFL Draft. Everybody loves Murray's explosiveness, but Brown is the more traditional, steady, every down type of back.

Prediction: 1st Round
i think chris brown will go to the vikings and back up peterson and if demarco murray does go he will be picked to the vikings instead because he is more of a 3rd down back.
