i woulld know if clausen will be succesful. Im sure you didn'yt go to a notre dame game the past three years. I've been to three in 07' two in 08' and four this year. I went to many of games when Brady Quinn played and with all due respect Clausen is much more accurate, has a stronger arm and more effiect. All say one thing negative about clausen he isn't much of a runner. But he still can get out of pressure.

Clausen has no help? I'll give you the line isn't great but it is decent. His two receivers are great players Tate will be a late first, early second and runs a 4.4-4.5 thats not speed? what about Michael Floyd he's also a first round pick next year. Not to mention Kyle Rudolph a first round pick at TE next year. If you've ever watched Notre Dame which clearly you haven't you'd realize he just throws it up and hopes one of his great receivers comes down with it.

Clausen will be an outstanding QB at the NFL level. He is very intelligent, reads defenses well, anticipates well, puts the ball on the right side of the receiver - away from the defender. He can lob the corner shot in the end zone. He can hit the slants, the dump-offs. He doesn't fix on one receiver, he checks down well. His work ethic is outstanding and he can run, although not as nifty as some. In a nutshell, he does all the things that JaMarcus Russell of the Raiders can't / or doesn't do. If I were Al Davis, I would dump the elephant and put my marbles on Clausen. What was his TD/INT ratio - something like 27-3? Hello out there.

Im not quite sure if i like clausen as much as all you, well besides jdgiddens, I remember watching ND-SC and Clausen had three chances to win the ball game inside the redzone. First pass went OVER THE MIDDLE WITH 17 SECONDS LEFT which got them to the 5 yard line. Then on the last play, which would later be reviewed and was decided there was one second, he threw it at Golden Tate but threw it out of the endzone. Then on the last play Clausen sat in the pocket for what seemed like 1.2 seconds and not even waiting for the break off of the wide receiver Jimmy carelessly over threw the receiver, not quite sure who it was, by about three yards

Jimmy Clausen has propelled himself up the draft boards faster than almost any other player. He had a rough first couple years while the Irish were replacing the offensive line, and building back the recieving core. With a solid line, and great recievers Clausen had one of the best years of any quarterback. He has a solid arm, great accuracy, and best of all has very good footwork. He has been in a pro-style system for 3 years and will easily adjust to the NFL. Can through the fade route to the corner of the end zone as good as any quarterback I've ever seen. Is a good leader of the team, despite what many outside the program may say. Has been behind awful offensive lines and was able to stay healthy of any major injuries. Great size.

Once again Jimmy has a great arm and I believe he know's that up in the air pass mentality wont work in the NFL but after a good pro day in south bend he will boost up in everyone's draft board along with just about all the kids being drafted from notre dame and Golden Tate will go from a early second round pick to a mid first rounder

I'm astonished by what I've read. Jimmy Clausen "spins" the ball--he had an average arm at best for a college quarterback. Colt McCoy has a much nicer and more natural throwing motion than Clausen. Clausen was completely unable to lift his team. His stats were good, but were also deceiving and don't tell the true story. By the way, I watched ALL of the ND games on TV, and, I love Notre Dame football. I'm just saying I saw this kid coming out of high school and couldn't wait to watch him at the college level--and yet saw that he has very little talent! I couldn't believe how overrated he was. It was because of his brothers and that he has ideal size. But there's not talent there! The team that gets him will discover that he's simply not a good enough athlete to make it at the NFL level. I'm not saying I don't want him to make it; I'm just saying I don't think he will--no way, actually. He is a pure straw man. He lofts the ball all over the place. None of that stuff will get anywhere near to effectiveness in the NFL.

Clausen is the best QB in this years draft. He has 4 years of experience in an nfl offense so hell be ready to play imeadiately. He has great accuracy especially deep. Watch the highlights from the Stanford game when he dropped a pass in to Golden Tate. He could be taken #1 overall.

Colts are going to win the super bowl. Why not Golden tate.
