Bill Stull, QB, Pittsburgh

He was one play away from leading his team to a BCS game. He earned the starting quarterback job three straight years. He is 6-3 and 215 pounds. He played in a Pittsburgh system that runs an offense similar to many NFL teams. Yet, nobody is talking about Bill Stull as an NFL quarterback. It took Stull a little longer to get into the flow than most expected since he was a relatively highly regarded recruit, but injuries slowed his progress. However, it was not an injury that kept him on the sidelines as a freshman; It was Tyler Palko. Still, Stull completed six of his eight pass attempts as a freshman and threw one touchdown. Heading into his sophomore campaign Stull won the starting job. He was doing fine against Eastern Michigan in the season opener, completing 14 of 20 passes for one touchdown. However, a thumb injury in the third quarter put an end to Stull's season. In 2008 Stull stayed healthy, but struggled at times. Stull finally pulled it all together in 2009. He increased his completion percentage to 64.6 percent and threw for 21 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Since he really only had one good year, Stull will not be drafted in the first few rounds. However, with a good Senior Week his stock could rise quickly. 2/21 Update: Stull has not had the opportunity to show his stuff yet and that has really hurt his draft stock. Barring some great workouts, it is likely Stull will go undrafted. However, he could still make somebody's roster and should be given an opportunity on a team that has the luxury to work with a quarterback for a few years and see if they have found a diamond in the rough.

Prediction: 1st Round

Sorry, some Pitt fans, misguided as they were, did not agree with some things done by Stull. He will make a camp and it would be nice to see him make a roster.
