2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Jason Teague, CB, TCU
A big question heading into 2010 was the two new starting corners. It was possible that Mountain West opponents could find the chink in the TCU armor. Yet, as has been the case time and time again, Texas Christian University had players who were more than capable of filling the void. Teague was one of those players. In a memorable season for TCU, Teague tallied 37 tackles and two interceptions. He also led the team with seven passes defended and nine pass breakups. Nobody ever found the weakness in TCU's defense, since Teague stepped up his game and made it so there was no weakness to be found.
Teague could turn some heads in the pre-draft workouts. He is a quick, smart player and has more size than some other corners in this class. He is also a big hitter and capable of moving over to free safety if he needs to do so. Right now Teague is likely a fifth or sixth round selection, but do not be surprised if his stock rises between now and draft time.
