2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Ollie Ogbu, DT, Penn State
Ogbu is the sort of player who doesn't stand out physically, but he gets the job done with a visible appetite to make plays. Due to a lack of size, he has limited options as he does not fit into a 3-4 scheme. He is best suited as a one or three technique, meaning he should be lined up on either shoulder of the center or the outside shoulder of either guard. The summary of what a fan needs to know about this is simply that Ogbu isn't very versatile and would only make a good fit for a small handful of teams.
This limitation really limits his draft projection. While he is very strong and possesses above average agility and lateral mobility, he remains too small and doesn't have enough upside to merit draft consideration. There are plenty of players that come out in his position every season and many are bigger, stronger and faster than Ogbu.
Ogbu projects as a seventh round pick or an undrafted free agent in the 2011 NFL Draft.
