2011 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Cameron Graham, TE, Louisville
However, by 2009, Graham was making a big impact and started ten games. The numbers were not eye popping on a team that struggled to throw the ball consistently, but the 6-4, 253 pound Graham caught 27 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Even as a tight end Graham was pretty much the go-to-receiver for the Cardinals in 2010. He caught 40 passes for a team high 470 yards and five touchdowns. Graham proved to not just be a fine receiving option in the red zone, but a quality all-around pass catcher. For his efforts, Graham was named to the All-Big East First-Team by the conference's coaches.
Graham is not a bad blocker either and helped pave the way for running back Bilal Powell to easily eclipse the 1,000 yard mark. Since he is not the greatest blocker or pass catcher in this class, Graham is being overlooked. Yet, he is a well balanced tight end who could be a good value in the later rounds.
2/10 Update: Graham did get some accolades in the Big East by earning First-Team All-Conference accolades. He also had a fine collegiate finale against Southern Miss in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl. Graham only caught three passes for 31 yards, but one of those went for an 11 yard touchdown. That success will not boost Graham's draft stock too much, but at least some people are talking about him as a solid NFL prospect.
4/8 Update: Graham did not do much to help his draft stock at the NFL combine. His 40-yard-dash time was over five seconds and he did not do particularly well in many of the other workouts either. In a class that has a lot of athletic tight ends, Graham is sliding down draft boards. He still is a good and balanced tight end, but that may not be enough to get him drafted.
