2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State

Kansas State inside linebacker Arthur Brown is an early round prospect that excels against the run, with solid athleticism that could keep him on the field all three downs.

He is the older brother of Philadelphia Eagles running back Bryce Brown. Slightly undersized for an ILB. Moves very well with quick feet sideline-to-sideline. Below average pursuit lines. Agility in tight spaces keeps him in the mix on every play. Despite lack of height, takes on blockers reasonably well and disengages well.

Plays downhill and must learn to not over-pursue his assignment. Good wrap-up tackler and stays sound in his technique rather than going for the big hit. Breaks down well to bring down ball-carriers in open space.

Adequate coverage skills and moves well in his lower half for an ILB. Has a natural knack for short zone coverages and flows to the football quickly. Good feel for blitzing and quickly finds the open lane to the quarterback. Big blockers can effectively neutralize him.

Brown projects as an early second round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Prediction: 1st Round

Would look great as a Chicago Bear or Baltimore Raven

Prediction: 1st Round

Brown is most under rated linebacker in this draft class. After the combine he'll become a late first round prospect.
