2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina
Possesses adequate speed. Reads and reacts at near-elite level. Snaps with a quick twitch towards the play. Displays consistent instincts and is around the ball every play. Coverage skills are average, but has enough athleticism to track most tight ends over the middle. Slightly undersized and can get eaten up in crowded spaces. Take-on skills are lacking and will struggle against bigger, more powerful offensive linemen.
Good tackler. Wraps up and looks to drive ball-carriers down to the ground with his lower body. Doesn't really lay into defenders often and prefers to get his body on the opposition. Shows good range in zone coverage. Lacks ideal agility to handle running backs coming out of the backfield. Must continue to work on blitzing skills and using his leverage to his advantage. Doesn't rip or swim free of blockers very often.
Reddick projects as a third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
