2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State

Iowa State inside linebacker A.J. Klein is an undersized prospect who was highly productive in his collegiate career. Racked up 345 tackles in his three seasons as a starter. Defensive leader. Great diagnoses of plays. Did his homework and played a step faster than his teammates. Disengages well from blockers and has the upper body strength to take them on successfully. Excellent play recognition. Speed is adequate. Not very flexible in coverage. Consistent tackler. Will not routinely catch plays on the back side.
