2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
person

Aaron Mellette, WR, Elon

Elon Phoenix wide receiver Aaron Mellette shined in the FCS, especially in his junior year. Good hands, but allows the ball into his body too often. Small school prospect that underwhelmed against FBS opponents. Adequate height and should compete for a No. 2 receiver spot. Nice burst making his breaks. Good pacing on routes. Well built, but not particularly adept at blocking or having a good release out of press coverage. Average speed. Must focus on his ability to separate at the next level. Bloated numbers in pass-first offense.
