Penn State Nittany Lions outside linebacker Gerald Hodges has good coverage skills and should play as a rotational player in a lot of passing situations.

Still developing in some areas of the game like taking on blocks and using improved fundamentals when pursuing downhill in the run game. Previously played safety in his career, which explains his talent in coverage. Good range versus the run and although he is a little flat in his pursuit angles. Can get eaten up by blockers. Sometimes plays out of control and will lose balance in the hole or not be squared up properly to lay a quality hit on the ball-carrier. Very raw as a pass rusher, limited experience. Relies on instinct and effort, but loses leverage frequently.
