Quinton Patton Scouting Report

Louisiana Tech wide receiver Quinton Patton has good height and speed. He has the potential to become a No. 1 receiver later in his career and should be able to contribute early as a WR2.

Patton plays with high intensity. His footwork when route-running lacks precision and rounds off corners, but he does a nice job of finding seams and openings in zone coverage. Fluid runner in and out of his breaks. Lacks some physicality and can be pushed around in his route and coming off the line. Must add some strength in his upper half; a bit lean.

Does well to catch the ball away from his body. Can make defenders miss in the open field and has some shake with the ball in his hands. Lacks breakaway speed, but quick enough to make the first man miss. Cuts back across the grain after the catch, which will rarely work at the next level. Willing blocker downfield. Tracks the football well. Reliable hands. Strong practices at the Senior Bowl have his stock slowly rising.
