2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Every offense in the NFL is looking for their own Percy Harvin or Randall Cobb. That comparison is lofty, but there are similarities down to their special teams contributions in college. Austin has "it."
Although his hands aren't perfect, this can be coached up because the problem is often that he is so quick to turn and run that he will sometimes forget to bring the ball with him. That said, once the ball is in his hands, he can accelerate at an elite level. Austin is a good route-runner and does a great job finding openings in zone. In man-to-man coverage, he is very difficult to cover and defenses will likely need to keep a safety over top of him.
The key here is that he shows up at the NFL combine. Front offices are going to want to see these elite measurables in the 40-yard dash and broad jump. It's easy to put up numbers in the Mountaineers' offense. Austin's extra gear and ability to find daylight should appeal to all teams though. Look for him to be selected towards the end of the first round to early second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Given the hype he's getting, I think he goes in the top half of Round 1. Maybe as high at 8th to Buffalo.
