2013 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Jared Smith, DT, New Hampshire

UNH Wildcats defensive tackle (or offensive guard) Jared Smith is a highly developmental prospect from the FCS. Five-technique on defense. Could start at the offensive line. Has experience with both. Average athleticism. Good short-area burst. Can play a one-gap role and press the A-gap to create pressure. Stays low, uses great leverage. Sloppy tackling technique. Lunges instead of moving feet. Must add some bulk to lower half, especially if needed to anchor as a guard. Good frame, has more room to grow.
