2014 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

Ahmad Dixon, S , Baylor

The hard-hitting Dixon plays more like a linebacker than a safety. By providing great run support and above-average length, the former Baylor Bears prospect can provide immediate depth to any team's back-end.

Excellent in pursuit. Play downhill and very aggressive. Good body control when closing in on ball-carrier and wraps up well. Still working on fine tuning his coverage skills. Has experience playing as a nickel corner, but lacks the technique to be a difference maker in coverage. Average speed, burst, explosion and athleticism in general. Should be able to hold his own and then some in special teams.

Very stiff in his lower half in coverage. Will get abused by any player with some speed or a juke. Long arms are good at the point of attack when climbing for the football. Aggressive when being blocked and can disengage well. Average agility and has trouble keeping up in man coverage. Poor read-and-react. Plays a very reactionary brand of football as opposed to anticipatory.

Dixon projects as a fifth round option in the 2014 NFL Draft.
