1 - OAK: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The Raiders have given up. They are guaranteed not to win a single game for the rest of the year given their effort, and I predicted Oakland to be the worst team in the NFL this year. Carson Palmer has been a pretty good QB in the NFL, but is just not a franchise player. Sure, he will throw for a ton of yardage- when they are down 35-10 in the 4th quarter. This defense needs a ton of help, especially the horrific secondary, but their new GM will most likely try and find a QB. And its Geno Smith.

2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The Jags dreadfully need a QB, but sadly for them, there are none that are worthy of this selection (other than Geno, who was already drafted). Jacksonville can instead make a run for a guy like Alex Smith (a solid starting QB who got benched for no reason) or Tim Tebow (risky, but they can always turn back to the average Chad Henne if necessary) via trade/free agency. Jarvis Jones is so talented that he might have the ability to save their franchise. He is a relentless warrior on the field.

3 - KC: Collin Klein, QB, Kansas State
I know- this pick may shock you. But it won't next April. Collin Klein is an excellent athlete and has very good potential. Klein (6'5, 226 lbs) is mobile and can instantly provide an impact on goal line packages. With his size, he has the ability to develop a strong arm. Brady Quinn is a huge failure, as was Kansas City's season, so the front office needs to get a "face of the franchise" in as soon as possible. Klein is the man for the job.

4 - NYJ: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
The Jets are pathetic. Everyone involved in their organization should be embarrassed. Mark Sanchez was a bust waiting to happen, as USC quarterbacks have not worked out in recent years (Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Sanchez) a la the fall of Matt Barkley- which is why they stay away. Without a capable QB, New York is left with no team leader. That role would be instantly filled by drafting the extremely athletic college superstar, Manti Te'o. Te'o (6'2, 255) is the perfect player for the Jets.

5 - CLE: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
The Browns have a choice here between Sam Montgomery, Barkevious Mingo, Bjoern Werner, and Damontre Moore, and they end up drafting Montgomery here. LSU's monstrous pass rusher Montgomery (6'4, 248 lbs) could start across from Jabaal Sheard in front of the one-dimensional Frostee Rucker. Cleveland has an option to go WR, but this year's class is not good enough. Montgomery has bust potential, but is well worth the risk at #5 for the Browns.

6 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Star Lotulelei out of Utah is one of the most feared nose tackles to come out of college in years. The Panthers' run defense has been absolutely pathetic these past few years, so Lotulelei (6'3, 325) would be able to disrupt opposing backfields for years to come. And besides, who wouldn't want a big, powerful NT in a division with the likes of Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, and Josh Freeman.

7 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Philly is desperate for offensive linemen. Especially since that unit is a huge part of the reason the Eagles never lived up to becoming "The Dream Team". Jason Peters and Demetress Bell are too ineffective and injury prone to maintain starting status in this league, so Luke Joeckel (6'6, 310) gets the nod. Joeckel is a strong player with the ability to be the anchor LT for a team. Taylor Lewan is an option, but Joeckel is the better player, and the best choice at this spot.

8 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
The Cardinals need a QB desperately so Larry Fitzgerald can stay with the franchise. Fitzgerald, who usually has a say in his team's selection, definitely wants a young, accurate signal-caller to throw him the ball. Matt Barkley does not have prototypical size (6'2, 220) or an outstanding arm, but can be the guy to finally make Arizona fans forget about Kurt Warner. Barkley does not have the ability to become an elite QB in the NFL, but at the very least is a serviceable starter.

9 - MIA: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Bjoern Werner (6'4, 256) is an awesome DE who I think is the next J.J. Watt. Werner has unbelievable pass rushing ability and can team up with Cameron Wake to form one of the best duos in the NFL. Miami desperately needs a weapon for Ryan Tannehill, but the WR class is very weak this year, as I mentioned before. They can easily get a quality WR in the 2nd round, so there's no need to reach. Werner could be considered a steal at this point.

10 - TEN: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Dee Milliner (6'1,198) has a special skill-set and the speed to keep up with receivers in the NFL. It also doesn't hurt that he's coming from Alabama. Tennessee has a terrible defense (28th in rush, 26th in pass) and could use a replacement for Cortland Finnegan, who left for St. Louis this past offseason. Alterraun Verner is pretty good, but does not possess the potential or athleticism of a #1 CB in this league. Milliner does, and is the easy pick here.
