Author's Comments

**TRADE (BUF received 5th overall pick (T Wilson, QB); DET receives 8th overall, 2nd round pick)

1 - KC: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
(Barkley, QB) Glenn Dorsey will likely be out after this season, leaving a massive hole at DE. Floyd would be an ideal pick to fill that hole
2 - JAX: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia
(Werner, DE) Murray just had a huge game against Nebraska, and likely put himself into high-2nd round consideration. He's shown leadership all season, and his accuracy "issues" seem to not actually be issues
3 - CIN: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
(from OAK)(Jordan, DE) The Bengals get a beastly HB here. Lacy should replace the injury-laden BJGE and give them another young offensive weapon
4 - PHI: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
(Joeckel, OT) The Eagles will likely be looking for a replacement for DRC, and if they cut ties with Asomugha, they'll be looking for two CBs. Rhodes would be a good pick to fill one of those openings
5 - DET: Khaseem Greene, OLB, Rutgers
(Milliner, CB) The Lions should be looking to move Tulloch to SLB, and add a young, more athletic MLB. Greene would be a good pick for the Lions as he's a high-character, high-effort player
6 - ARI: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
(Smith, QB) The Cardinals should plug Fluker into one of their OT vacancies. I think he'd be an excellent RT, but, like Cordy Glenn in Buffalo, could just as easily play LT until they find a better option
7 - DET: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
**(from BUF) The Lions add a reliable, not injury-prone HB here. Having some stability at HB could make Stafford's like a lot easier
8 - NYJ: Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
(Glennon, QB) The Jets get a RT to protect Glennon. Thomas is also an established run blocker, which is good news for Shonn Greene, who finished the year on an excellent not
9 - TEN: T.J. McDonald, FS, USC
(Te'o, LB) The Titans didn't want to reach for a safety in the first round, and land their guy here. McDonald supposedly has some work ethic issues, but he's very talented, and should fit nicely under Munchak
10 - SD: Corey Lemonier, DE, Auburn
(Matthews, OT) The Chargers add a nice pass rusher to replace Shaun Phillips, who is likely headed to free agency
11 - MIA: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
(Warmack, OG) The Dolphins get Tannehill his #1 WR. Eifert could also be their pick, but I think Hunter's size is a bigger need on the outside
12 - TB: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
(Banks, CB) The Bucs get a good value pick, and add some bulk next to Gerald McCoy, who has looked like a stud in his first healthy season
13 - CAR: Robert Woods, WR, USC
(Hankins, DT) Woods is an excellent receiver, and his route running and hands should help Cam Newton when he gets in trouble. Has #1 WR potential as well, which is good bc Steve Smith isn't getting any younger
14 - STL: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
(Lewan, OT; Vaccaro, S) The Rams get another steal, and get Bradford a monster TE that can stretch the middle, and give him a valuable dump off option on shorter downs
15 - PIT: Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
(J Jones, LB) The Steelers should cut ties with Mendenhall, and look for an early round HB. Ellington is a really solid pick,a nd gives them a playmaker out of the backfield that will nicely compliment Jon Dwyer's power running
16 - DAL: Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma
(Mingo, LB) Jerry Jones said Romo is safe, but not for how long. They'd be smart to bring in a young QB like Jones that they can groom into a starter
17 - NYG: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
(Ansah, DE) The Giants take the best player on the board, and get Eli a receiving TE to pair with Bennett.
18 - CHI: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
(Fisher, OT) The Bears should look for someone to take Urlacher's spot in the 1st or 2nd round. Minter has picked up some momentum, and would be a good fit in the middle of Chicago's defense
19 - MIN: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
(Allen, WR) Brown would be an immediate and massive upgrade over Jasper Brinkley. The Vikings would be in good shape with a defensive backbone of Brown and Harrison Smith
20 - CIN: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The Bengals take the top player on the board and add a really nice OT prospect. Johnson will have a year or two to learn the offense before replacing Whitworth or Smith
21 - MIA: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
(from IND) Poyer has excellent value here. The Dolphins need to replace Vontae Davis, and use the pick from the Colts to take a CB with a higher ceiling
22 - WAS: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
The Redskins secondary is a giant liability, starting with the CB position. Josh Wilson is decent, but DeAngelo Hall is a shell of his former self, and should be replaced with Trufant
23 - SEA: Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia
(T Williams, WR) Carpenter was a failed experiment at RT, and will be moved back inside to guard for next season. Aboushi would be a solid pick to plug at RT, and make this run game a little stronger
24 - BAL: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
(Ogletree, LB) The Ravens should cut ties with Boldin and use this pick to take Patterson. Like Stephen Hill last year, Patterson will fall because of his raw route running, and short window of productivity, but the Ravens shouldn't mind
25 - GB: Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin
(B Jones, OG) The Packers need a short-yardage back that can pound the ball on 2nd and 3rd downs. Ball has a lot of mileage, but the Packers should use him properly, and rekindle their running game
26 - HOU: Brian Winters, OT, Kent State
(Richardson, DT) Winters is a player that should sneak up draft boards heading into April. The Texans need a new RT, and this would be a good pick
27 - ATL: Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State
(Okafor, DE) The Falcons were at their best when Turner was running down defenses. In Bell, they'd get a similar style of runner that can wear down defenses and keep safeties honest and away from Jones and White
28 - NE: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
(Austin, WR) The Patriots get a steal with Elam, who has late 1st round talent and potential. They need a hammer at safety, and he'd be a nice pick up
29 - SF: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
(Reid, S) The 49ers get a powerful DT that should make a nice transition into a 5-tech DE. Justin Smith won't be around forever, and Ray McDonald is somewhat inconsisten
30 - DEN: Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
(J Williams, DT) The Broncos get a successor for Champ Bailey. Ryan has play-now talent, and gives them extra CB depth
31 - CLE: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
(Moore, DE) The Browns used their 2nd round pick to take WR Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft
32 - NO: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
(Montgomery, DE) The Saints lost this pick for the Bounty Gate scandal
