Average Rank: 2.0 out of 5 (3 votes) -- Rank This Mock Draft

1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The Cheifs could trade out, with no clear cut #1 this yr. But Smith is not a bad pick. People say that hes inconsistent. But if you compare his career stats to RGIII's and Luck's. he has a better completion % (Smith 67.4, RGIII 67.1, Luck 67.0) and is on par with TD/INTs (Smith - 98TDs-21INTs / Luck 82TDs-22INTs / RGIII 78TDs-17INTs) and QB Rating (Smith 153.7 / Luck 162.8 / RGIII 158.9). He may not have the IT factor that Luck and RGIII have but he deff has the ability to be a legit starter
2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Jacksonville wants a QB, Jacksonville NEEDS a QB but there is no-one worth the pick and now is not the time to reach for a positional need (They already did that with Gabbert and how did that turn out). Next in line for the Jags would be a Pass Rusher and Werner is a good a pick as it comes, the kids motor is 2nd to none, and would be create havoc in the backfield for years to come.
3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
With the departure of Seymour, and Bryant immenant The Raiders are gonna have to find replacements and Lotulelei is a great start. The awareness, athletic ability, and pass rushing skills for his size is almost unheard of.
4 - PHI: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
It was between Luke Joeckel or Milliner and i feel the eagles believe Jason Peters will come back healthy next yr and go with another big need which is CB. So why not take the best one in the Draft?
5 - DET: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Lions would love to Draft Milliner to help a terrible 2ndary, but he is already taken, So they move to replace the soon departing cliff avril with Jones who is arguably the best player in the draft.
6 - CLE: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
I do not believe the Browns are sold on Weeden, But once again this yr QB draft class is attrocious so the browns go Defense and take Moore, to put opposite of Sheard who has been solid but wont get double digit sacks, that is where moore comes in. a DL with Sheard, Taylor, Moore looks pretty good to me.
7 - ARI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Arizona needs a OL boost so luckily for one of the best LT's ive seen in the past 10 yrs falls right into their Laps. Joeckel will be pancaking defends and protecting the blind side on the left side for years to come.
8 - BUF: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
I'm not a big fan of reaching for a position of need. But in this case Buffalo needs a QB. Manti Te'o is pretty much the consesus pick if he falls to Buffalo but taking a ILB in the top 10 is a luxury pick for a good team. Buffalo is not that, I think Wilson will shoot up the boards during the combine with his impressive arm strength and High Football IQ. Not to mention the guy is tough, he had to be playing behind that terrible Oline in college.
9 - NYJ: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
I could deff see the Jets reaching for a QB in this spot too maybe Mike Glennon, but i hope they realize besides QB their Pass Rush was non-exsistent. In comes Montgomery that will be a phenomial pass Rushing OLB. The only bad game i seen him have was against Texas A&M and Luke Joeckel and i hold no grudge with that considering Joeckel is a Rare player.
10 - TEN: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
The defense is a mess. and although they have Verner and McCourty in place in todays NFL you need at least 3 good CB's,and i think Verner is more suited for a Nickel Role. Drafting banks would give them a very solid 2ndary.
11 - SD: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
Te'o slips out of the top 10 due to his low position value and it may not be a stretch to say depending on his Combine performance that he could slip further. But that benefits the chargers as they draft him to shore up the MLB position something they havent had since Merriman became garbage and left. His high motor, IQ, and leadership will also be welcomed on a team that isnt always mentally ready which explains their constant disappointing seasons even with all thier talent they have had.
12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Luckily for the Dolphins they can reach to a Positional need at WR and not worry about BPA since Allen will be one of the BPA when their pick comes which is also a positional need. They could also go Oline depending on what happens with Long. But they deff need a top flight WR for Tannenhill.
13 - TB: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
The bucs would love to grab Milliner or Banks, but unfortunatly theyve already came off the board. So there is no CB worthy of this pick, So they could opt to trade down if this happens. But since im not doing trades they go with Vaccaro and sure up their safety spots.
14 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The panthers have let the DT spot go for too long. Picking up Hankins would give them a space eater that would improve the defense and allow Kuechly to get even better then hes already looked at the ILB spot.
15 - NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Jordan may shoot up the board after the combine since he seems like hes gonna be a combine freak, that will have some top 10 team reaching for him. As athletic he is hes still a raw player. However his best attribute is his versatility you can play him anywhere and thats exactly what a spagnuolo defense loves in its players.
16 - STL: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
The rams have alot of great slot receivers but no True no.1 that can stretch the field and has the size to fight for the ball and be a red-zone threat. Enter Justin Hunter, he has slowly regained form from his knee injury in '11. With this pick the rams finally get their deep threat to complement their inside guys.
17 - PIT: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
If the improbably happens and Te'O falls to them expect the steelers to sprint the card to the podium. But in this mock he didnt and any Pass Rushing OLB/DE worth a pick this early is already taken and the steelers rarely reach for positional needs,, and i think they are going to give Mclendon a chance to take over the NT spot from hampton. So instead they get younger and grab their SS of the future. Elam is a good player and learning behind troy for a yr will only help better him.
18 - DAL: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The Cowboys grab the best Guard prospect in the draft to sure up that o-line.
19 - NYG: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
This pick could be another DT like J.Williams from alabama but only because of jenkins academic problems. However i dont see that bothering too many teams, given Jenkins good stats and productions. Drafting him would give the giants a run stuffer they have not had. and would get someone to eat up blocks allowing JPP and Tuck to do their thing. Their Dline is already scary adding Jenkins would be a terrifying combo.
20 - CHI: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The bears get their replacement for when Urlacher calls it a career. Ogletree is fast, athletic and will can not only drop into coverage well, but has a quick pass rush.
21 - CIN: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Geno Atkins, Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap at times. The Bengals just need one more to have the making of a young dominant D-line. In comes Jesse williams, still developing but has the potential to be something special. That line could end up being very scary very good for a very long time.
22 - STL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
The rams get this pick from the Redskins. In this defensive heavy first round it has meant some quality offensive players sliding. This benefits the Rams who already got their future No.1 WR in Justin Hunter, now they drop Jake Matthews the other half of Texas A&Ms brilliant young tackles. Matthews is right behind His LT counterpart in terms of the Best Tackle in the draft and he will instantly help make sure Bradford isnt ripped apart which is been a trend the past couple yrs.
23 - BAL: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
The Ravens could go WR here with T. Williams still on the board, But Ray Lewis just retired and Ed Reed's time is coming fast to do the same. And With Vaccaro and Elam off the board Baltimore knowing grab Eric Reid as Reeds replacement. It might be a reach but Reid will not last till the ravens 2nd round pick and they need a quality replacement while they still can.
24 - MIN: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Remember the Williams wall was causing all kinds of havoc in the NFC NORTH? I do and im sure vikings fans do too. well i think its time to start rebuilding the wall. Sheldon has the speed to hit the gap fast and the strength to get through and cause alot of plays in the backfield. His motor is probably the best out of anyone in this draft and he continuously chases plays down. Great pick up for Minny.
25 - IND: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
The transition to 3-4 has gone better then expected. but they still lack the personnel to effectively run it properly. In comes Mingo who has had his ups and downs this season. But this late in the first with this type of potential Mingo is a great pick up.
26 - GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
WR and the 2ndary could be the pick too. But normally Thompson goes after BPA and with their Oline issues i think being the top priority Jones presents good value. The fact that he can play anywhere on the line from T to G to C doesnt hurt neither.
27 - HOU: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
Even with how well they played early in the season you can now see that missing cushing is really hurting the defense. And in a 3-4 defense you need 2 good ILBs. Minter has been the most consistent linebacker for LSU this season as well as a beast. Because of his position he doesnt get the hype that teammates Mingo and Montgomery get. But with a ILB pairing of Cushing/Minter the defense would be terrifying. Cushing could not create chaos knowing his counterpart is a stud that could hold the area
28 - ATL: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
The falcons need a future replacement for Gonzalez, and at this stage of the 1st RD. Eiferts value is as good as anyone as well as a big positional need. This kids hands are crazy for a TE. He needs to bulk up his frame and smooth out his blocking skills but this is gonna be a great pick up to replace Tony.
29 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
The seahawks have done a great job of building thru the draft and from shrewd Free agency moves. Hates off to Coach Carroll and GM Schneider. The seahawks especially on defense are studs. The offense isnt bad neither what they could use tho is a Big, Tall, Receiver on the outside. Williams would allow wilson to stretch the field and would compliment the run game well.
30 - NE: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Talib is a free agent. And even with the remaining CB's they got like Arrington and Dowling, they need to make sure they have enough talent on CB so that it doesnt become a weak spot on the team that doesnt have many holes.
31 - SF: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
Poyer has the size and ability to push the starters next season for some playing time and excel in the Nickel role and eventually turn into a solid starter.
32 - DEN: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
With this pick Floyd and his strength and speed to collapse the line will created pressure on the quarterback from the middle. And less pressure on Miller and Dumervil. Imagine being the QB and having to worry about not just the outside pass rush but the middle now too on the Broncos Defense talk about a nightmare.

Below Average -- Some picks make sense but for the most part you have too many second and third rounders at the bottom here, plus Andy Reid isn't going to draft Geno Smith

Below Average -- The Bucs just took a SS with Mark Barron last year, so why would they do it again? I guarantee the Jets don't go defense with the first pick. Matthews is going back to school, but don't feel bad, I made that same mistake.

Below Average -- If you watched any of the draft last year, youd know the Bengals drafted a DT in the second and fourth rounds. Why in the hell would they pick another? Barrett Jones or Eric Reid would make much more sense, or even Rhodes at this point. C'mon man.
