2/8 costrander3689's Mock Draft
1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
I believe Albert will be let go to clear cap space, making Joeckel am excellent pick
2 - JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Value meets need here. Lotulelei is one of the BPA's, and would immediately make this pass rush and run defense better
3 - OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
The Raiders might auction this pick (G Smith). Otherwise, Moore makes the most sense
4 - PHI: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
I don't think Kelly will bite on Smith, especially with the resigning of Vick, and the pending move to a 34 defense. Jordan's athleticism would be a nice upgrade
5 - DET: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Vanden Bosch was cut, and Avril is likely right behind him, meaning they'll need at least one DE early
6 - CLE: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
If Smith is here, and Moore and Jordan are gone, I see this being a good pick for the Browns. Weeden will be 30, and McCoy has no arm
7 - ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
With Smith off the board, I like Fisher here. Kolb gets one more season, with a hopefully improved line
8 - BUF: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
I think Wilson will be Buffalo's guy regardless of where they pick. If they can get him another outside receiver, they'll be in good shape
9 - NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
This is a risky pick, but I think Mingo will be the pass-rusher they've been looking for
10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
BPA fills a big need for the Titans, and gives them a strong blocker for CJ2K
11 - SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Johnson could go higher than this, but if he's here, the Chargers should have a quick turn.in
12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Tannehill would be better off with a sure-handed, strong route runner (Allen), than an inconsistent potential game-breaker (Patterson)
13 - TB: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
The Bucs get the best CB in the draft here. Milliner and Barron will be an excellent building block
14 - CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Richardson is the top DT on the board, and can help the Panthers' stop the run, and rush the passer
15 - NO: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Drafting Ansah would give new DC Rob Ryan his DeMarcus Ware in New Orleans
16 - STL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
With Johnson and Warmack off the board, Vaccaro would next on STL's wish list
17 - PIT: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The Steelers shouldn't be concerned with Jones' health at this point. He's a stud, and a steal
18 - DAL: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Okafor has been sliding up draft boards, and should be a mid-1st pick. He'd be a good fit in Dallas' new 43 defense
19 - NYG: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
I think Brown will be the first MLB off the board, and the Giants would be an ideal landing spot, as they look to replace Boley at WLB
20 - CHI: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Bears will likely hit FA hard for o-linemen, but they won't find anyone better than Cooper
21 - CIN: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
The Bengals will likely need to replace Malaluga. Te'o would be a nice pick-up here
22 - STL: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Few players in this draft are as powerful as Fluker. He should start Day 1 at guard or RT
23 - MIN: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Whether Harvin is back or not, Patterson would be a solid pick here. Ponder needs more weapons, and he could be a good one
24 - IND: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Either Hankins or Floyd would be acceptable here. I think Hankins will have more value as a NT
25 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
With possession guys Rice and Tate on the roster, Seattle needs a a game-breaking WR. Williams is possibly the best deep threat in the draft
26 - GB: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
The Packers need a #1 HB, and take the best all around back in the draft
27 - HOU: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Ogletree would nicely fill DeMeco Ryan's spot alongside Cushing and give them 2 excellent coverage MLBs
28 - DEN: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Champ Bailey will likely be back, but he's not the same player he was. Banks would benefit greatly from learning behind him
29 - NE: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
With Wilfork on the decline, the Pats should be looking for another big, athletic NT
30 - ATL: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Eifert has been compared to 'a more athletic and dynamic Jeremy Shockey' which should ignite Atlanta fans if Gonzalez retires
31 - SF: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Floyd is waaaay to good to pass up here. He'd be a great choice to back-up and eventually replace Justin Smith
32 - BAL: Robert Woods, WR, USC
Boldin said he'll retire of Baltimore cuts him, which i believe they will. Woods would pair very nicely with Torrey Smith
