PhinsFan99's Mock Draft (Round 1)

1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
A new head coach means a new quarterback, and while there are no elite prospects at the position this year, Geno Smith is the closest.
2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Jacksonville finished dead last in the NFL in sacks. Bjoern Werner is a force to be reckoned with.
3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Richard Seymour and Desmond Bryant might not be back next year, so this pick fills a big need.
4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Jason Peters is expected to return from an Achilles injury, but Luke Joeckel is the best player available and too good to pass up.
5 - DET: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Cliff Avril is a free agent and Kyle Vanden Bosch is done. Damontre Moore is arguably the best DE in this class.
6 - CLE: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Rated as the top player by some, Jarvis Jones will bolster up a sorry pass rush as he led the nation in sacks.
7 - ARI: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
While this is a reach, Arizona's quarterback situation is so desperate this pick has to be a quarterback. Tyler Wilson is the best available.
8 - BUF: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
While he finished off his brilliant collegate carrer with a sloppy performance in the National Championship, he should still be able to help the middle of Buffalo's defense.
9 - NYJ: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Yes, another USC QB and another reach. Sanchez is just trash and needs to be replaced as soon as possible, and Barkley is the next best.
10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Chance Warmack is the best pure guard in years, and fills a huge need for Tennessee's struggling offensive line.
11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Sand Diego has been struggling partly because of Phillip Rivers' bad decisions, and partly because he's throwing off his back leg every play.
12 - MIA: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
If Dee Milliner falls, Miami has to take him. They have one of the worst secondaries in the league and need a playmaker.
13 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Tampa Bay had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL last year. Jonathan Banks will provide a good cover corner and playmaker.
14 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Carolina is really thin at DT, and to make matter worse, Dwan Edwards is a free agent.
15 - NO: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Sedrick Ellis a a free agent, but needs to be upgraded anyway. Jesse Williams is a big 320-pound DT that will help the Saints D-Line.
16 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
An OT would be the preferable pick here, but Eric Fisher is off the board. The Rams could use a good #1 receiver.
17 - PIT: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
OLB is one of the strongest positions in this draft class. Mingo is a risk but could end up being a great pass rusher for the Steelers.
18 - DAL: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Dallas needs help at Guard and Center, and while this might be a little bit of a reach, it could really pay off in the future.
19 - NYG: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
With Osi Umenyiora apparently on his way out, this pick could be used on a replacement. This will add a great threat opposite of JPP.
20 - CHI: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Chicago is so desperate at offensive line. They need to take the best lineman available and that's Jonathan Cooper.
21 - CIN: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
Taylor Mays is not very good and Nate Clements and Chris Crocker are free agents. Eric Reed would be a good pick here.
22 - STL: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
TE isn't much of a need for St. Louis, but since their defense is pretty good they should focus on getting Sam Bradford some targets.
23 - MIN: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Minnesota has a great target in Percy Harvin, but can use a big threat to help Christian Ponder. Cordarelle Patterson fits the bill.
24 - IND: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Indianapolis could use some help on their defensive line, and Alex Okafor has been climbing up draft boards lately.
25 - SEA: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Seattle should get some weapons for Russel Wilson. Tyler Eifert is a good receiving TE that will be a good red zone threat.
26 - GB: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Sheldon Richardson is another prospect who has shot up draft boards lately. This pick has great value and would help the Packers pass rush.
27 - HOU: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Tavon Austin would fill a big need for the Texans. It could be very dangerous him lining up with Andre Johnson on the other side.
28 - DEN: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
Denver needs a big, powerful Nose Tackle. Johnathan Jenkins is over 350 pounds and would be a great run stopper.
29 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
As this is Ray Lewis' "last ride" the Ravens will need a replacement. Alec Ogletree plays much like the man he is succeeding.
30 - ATL: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Atlanta doesn't have much depth behind John Abraham. Not to mention, Abraham is 34.
31 - NE: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The Patriots secondary improved from adding Aqib Talib, but another shutdown corner could make it one of the best secondaries in the league.
32 - SF: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
With an already great defensive line lead by Aldon Smith, maybe this pick doesn't fill a need, but it's good value and will add some youth to the line.
