Randsand's Mock Draft (Round 1)

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
A lot of people are thinking Geno here but I think with Albert being a FA and demanding huge money they can draft a better,younger player and less money . Then hopefully get their QB in the second or in FA .

2 - JAX: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
They may be a little reluctant to take another first round QB but Smith is not Gabbert

3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
could be the best player in the draft . Oakland needs too much help so starting in the middle is a great place to start especially with Seymour being a FA

4 - PHI: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
with them going to the 3-4 new coach Kelly will bring with him one of his prized pupils who can play 3 downs

5 - DET: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
proving in the Senior bowl that he is even better than projected , a very talented athlete who by the end could be vying for the number1 spot

6 - CLE: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
need someone across from sheard to create some pass rush , a perfect fit for Cleveland

7 - ARI: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
Honestly I think Wilson is the best QB in the draft and actually should have come out last year , Hopefully he can lose the bad habits he picked up this year and go back to last years form .

8 - BUF: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
Marrone has been grooming him for 4 years so why stop there . His stock is rising

9 - NYJ: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
They should draft a QB , maybe Barkley but I can`t see them taking another USC QB for a while so they take the best player available

10 - TEN: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
perfect fit for Tenn and they will jump to the podium if hes still on the board

11 - SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Had Fisher going here but thats not an option . Johnson will climd up the boards and SD has no choice to take a capable LOT

12 - MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
I think they will sign a FA WR but if they don`t Allen is the pick if they do they will have lots of choices

13 - TB: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Though he is the best CB in the draft , I don`t think he is as good as an of the top three CB`s from last years draft but TB really needs a top CB here

14 - CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
a disruptive force , the panthers need someone to get pressure from the middle of the line

15 - NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
with the saints changing to the 3-4 an athletis OLB is a must and Mingo fits the bill

16 - STL: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
arguably one of the best players in the draft , if he wasn`t a guard he would be a top 5 pick .Guards just don`t go in the top 20 so here at 16 is a testament of how good he is .

17 - PIT: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Had a hard time with this pick .The steelers are in Cap trouble again so there are going to be cuts somewheres as well as an influx of youth . Where should I start , need a DT for Hampton , a MLB for Foote , a SS to eventually replace the often injured Palomalo , another starting CB , another OL man and finally a nother starting TE for the injured Miller . So there you have it and all there replacements are available at number 17 . Eventually they will choose the Hampton replacement .

18 - DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
If they ever want to make the playoffs again they have to get O-line help for Romo

19 - NYG: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
They haven`t had a capable MLB since Antonio Pierce

20 - CHI: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
top three LOT are off the board . They could go MLB to replace Urlacher but I think they will go Offense and take a good TE to take the pressure off Marshall

21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Being a bengals fan , this is another tough pick to call . The only difference is this is more of a luxury pick .The Bengals will take the best need player available . We need a S a couple LB`s , a DE , a RB another starting WR . If Ogletree is still on the board he will be ours .

22 - STL: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
I first had RB Bernard here but know the RB position is being downgraded and there is a very good chance there will be no first rounders I think they might double dip the O line position and take Warmack`s team mate . Bradford would love to see this happen so why not make him happy .

23 - MIN: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Banks could go earlier than this to either both Cincy or Pitts but here he is still on the board and the vikings will be glad to take him .

24 - IND: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
need a big force to keep the LB.s free to make tackles

25 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
No major needs on this team so they upgrade the WR position to make Wilson even better .

26 - GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
that O line isn`t very good , so adding someone who they can plug in anywhere`s is a good thing

27 - HOU: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
When Cushing went down , so did the Texans . Minter is a great ILB and will upgrade the position whether Cushing is back early or not.

28 - DEN: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
After watching Champ get torched by Balt , it`s now time to find some CB help . I had Rhodes here before Trufant `s Senior Bowl practices

29 - NE: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Welker could be gone so plug in a faster , younger player

30 - ATL: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Gonzalez out , Eifert in

31 - BAL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
I can't see them retaining Ed Reed so here's a replacement

32 - SF: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
with Justin Smith getting hurt it showed the lack of depth on their offensive front , Williams will fight for a starting spot on that line only helping with that depth
