Manti Te'o: As you can see Manti Te'o's name is absent from day 1 of the NFL Draft. As I have stated all along, Te'o is not a premier NFL prospect. I have compared Te'o, a great run defender and leader, to that of a poor man's Brandon Spikes (2nd Rd, 62nd overall). Both LB are not LBs that are in there from first to third down, thus making it unlikely to spend a top pick on some one who will play two downs before being removed in order to better protect against the pass.
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
As I have stated for awhile now the best move for Andy Reid and the Chiefs to make is to trade this pick. However they will be hard pressed to find a taker willing to give up what is expected. Thus the Chiefs take a flyer on WVU QB Geno Smith. Andy Reid has history with a Big East quarterback with a similar skill set as a rookie, Donovan McNabb, and that worked out well for awhile.

2 - JAX: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The field at Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville is not unfamiliar to Georgia LB Jarvis Jones. The Bulldog product has had huge games here in the annual Florida-Georgia rivalry game. His combination of size and speed should give the fans in Jax something to cheer about on the defensive side of the ball.

3 - OAK: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
With the exit of Richard Seymour from the silver & black, it is time to find a replacement for the behemoth that roamed the trenches in the Black Hole. Utah DT Star Lotulelei (6-4, 325) is one big specimen that uses his size, strength and speed to over power offensive lineman. His off field life is also intriguing for the Raiders as he is settled down with a wife and young daughter.

4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
With Head Coach Chip Kelly bringing his up tempo offense to the NFL it is imperative that his offensive lineman be athletic enough to keep up with the speed of the game as well as strong enough to both block the run and pass. Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel (6-6, 310) fits this need to a T. His combination of speed, strength and experience in an up tempo offense will allow him to transition well into the NFL. Especially for the Eagles who have a glaring need at the LT position.

5 - DET: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
A defensive line that features Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley inside is intimidating. A defensive line that has those two inside and (6-4, 250) DE Damontre Moore on the outside is frightening. Moore's ability to get to the passer was well documented in his collegiate career. Last year he was one of the top pass rushers in the country, compiling 12.5 sacks, 85 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, two passes broken up, a blocked kick and a forced fumble.

6 - CLE: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Berlin to Tallahassee to Cleveland is not the optimal route to the NFL, however for FSU DE Bjoern Werner it is the most likely path. The dawg pound will welcome this pass rusher to Cleveland with open arms. The Browns defense has been ranked one of the best defenses against the pass in the past few years but their rush defense is almost nonexistent. Werner (6-4, 255) has the ability to either play as a standup rush LB or hand in the ground DE.

7 - ARI: Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
Another trade recommended here for the Cardinals as there is no clear cream of the crop QB available and the draft is very deep in areas in need of improvement in the desert. However, like with Kansas City, it will be hard to find a partner to complete a trade because of the depth of the draft. That means the that Cardinals are forced to improve on their most glaring need, QB. NC State QB Mike Glennon is the best pocket passer in the draft and that will be music to the ears of Larry Fitzgerald.

8 - BUF: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
With the rumors of Jarvis Jones falling from the top 5 in the draft this is probably as far as he will slide, as Buffalo is in need of a pass rusher on the outside. Mario Williams is on one side and either Jones or LSU OLB Barkevious Mingo on the other will give the Bills some pressure on the QBs of the AFC East, most notably the one in Foxboro. Mingo (6-5, 240) projects to produce similar to Denver's Von Miller, that is some high praise.

9 - NYJ: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow or Greg McElroy? It doesn't matter, the quarterback for the Jets next year needs an improved line in front of them in order to see their receivers and not the backsides of their lineman up close (butt fumble). Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher (6-8, 305) is a large specimen that excels in pass protection as well as run blocking and should provide ample time for the QB. Now it is their job to complete the passes this time..

10 - TEN: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Alabama CB Dee Milliner (6-1, 199) is the top corner in this draft and corner is a huge weakness for the Titans as the play in a division with Andrew Luck and Matt Schaub.

11 - SD: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
QB Phillip Rivers needs to step up his game to where it was in order to prove his value to the organization and status as a premier QB in the NFL. In order to accomplish this Rivers needs some help in front of him. Alabama OG Chance Warmack (6-3, 320) is a special talent that should provide ample time for Rivers as well as the rushing attack for the Chargers.

12 - MIA: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
OT Jake Long probably not coming back the Dolphins have a large hole to fill on the offensive line. The predicament is do the Fins take the 3rd best OT or the top receiver to help out Ryan Tannehill. Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson (6-7, 303) will be able to protect Tannehill's blindside better than a receiver.

13 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Tampa Bay had the best draft day last year getting Mark Barron and Doug Martin. The trend for positive selection continues as they select CB Jonathan Banks out of Mississippi State. Banks (6-2, 185) is a tall and has 4 years of experience against top notch receivers playing and starting every year in the super competitive SEC.

14 - CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
The best player available and the position in need of most improvement happen to coincide for the Panthers here with Ohio State DT Johnathan Hankins. It may also occur that the Panthers trade down and add more picks here but it is going to be hard to pass on a player like Hankins if available.

15 - NO: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
With Cam Newton, Josh Freeman and Matt Ryan calling the shots around the NFC South, it is imperative that the Saints improve on their pass rush from the defensive line position. Mizzou DT Sheldon Richardson (6-4, 295) is the best available lineman and should develop nicely in the NFL to a solid pass rusher. With his never stop motor, being an undeniably a great run-defender, and being a better pass-rusher than the stats indicate, Richardson could cause havoc for those QBs listed.

16 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Rams receiving corps was average last year. One major missing link was the lack of a sure fire number 1 receiver. California WR Keenan Allen is arguably the best wide receiver in the draft. Allen (6-3, 205) should develop into a Vincent Jackson type receiver, utilizing his size and ability to get over the top when needed while lining up at either the X (split end) or Z (flanker).

17 - PIT: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
The Steelers could use some talent at outside linebacker as many believe that they will move on from James Harrison this offseason. Oregon DE Dion Jordan would be a top 10 selection this April if he didn't suffer a torn labrum. I feel like the Steelers' front office is smart enough to end his slide.

18 - DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The Cowboys offensive line last year was a constant mess. UNC OL Jonathan Cooper has the versatility that Cowboys could utilize, as the North Carolina product can play all three interior positions.

19 - NYG: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
With Osi Umenyiora entering free agency this March and Justin Tuck having a down year, the Giants may want to draft another aggressive pass rusher here to ensure that their defense remains one to fear in the NFC. LSU DE is a true force and many believe that he would not last this long in the draft, however the Giants do not mind.

20 - CHI: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Former Bears Head Coach Lovie Smith and OC Mike Tice were criticized for their game plan of targeting Brandon Marshall nearly 20 times a game. This would not be the case if Marshall was surrounded by more targets for Jay Cutler to hit. Notre Dame TE Tyler Eifert (6-6, 249) is a natural receiver with good strength and blocking ability. Although he did not put up great stats in college, it should be noted that Notre Dame did not have a consistent passing attack.

21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Inside LB is a true concern for Bengal fans. Georgia LB Alex Ogletree is very fast and instinctive. He has the frame to get bigger and stay as a middle linebacker in the NFL. Ogletree has a lot of upside and it isn't surprising that his stock has pushed into first-round consideration this year.

22 - STL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
The Rams have to improve their safety play, and Vaccaro is a good fit in their defense. He could be a nice play-maker alongside St. Louis' talented cornerbacks. Vaccaro (6-1, 215) is an underrated prospect and could be the best safety in a talented class. He has good instincts and a lot of range.

23 - MIN: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
Baylor WR Terrance Williams (6-2, 195) has excellent size with underrated speed that catches cornerbacks by surprise. Williams has displayed more deep speed this season than previously thought. This traits should compliment those of Percy Harvin, that is if Harvin is back for next season. Either way WR is a definite need for the Vikings.

24 - IND: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Longhorn DE Alex Okafor would surely help the woeful Colts defense against the run. Okafor (6-4, 265) has some speed to go along with his strength. He is an ascending player who could easily rise high up draft boards, but with the depth at DE he finds a home at pick 24, with the Colts.

25 - SEA: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
The Seahawks defense is already considered one of the best in the league. With the selection of Georgia DT Jonathan Jenkins it is a case of the rich getting richer. Jenkins (6-3, 351) is a massive load at the line of scrimmage that should help free up the pass rushers off the edge as well as stuff the run in the middle.

26 - GB: Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin
The Packers do not have to look far for help on the offensive line. Wisconsin C/OG Travis Frederick (6-4, 338) has the ability to play all three inside line positions at the next level. This will help the Packers as the have Evan Dietrich-Smith currently at center, however a shuffling of the cards may be in the future with the addition of Frederick.

27 - HOU: Robert Woods, WR, USC
Houston is desperately in need of another receiving threat across from Andre Johnson. Kevin Walter will never be a number 2 option andDeVier Posey emerged late in the year, however a torn achilles in the divisional round has ended that. USC WR Robert Woods (6-1, 180) is one of the surest receivers in the draft. His experience at USC should allow him to transition into an NFL offense quiet smoothly.

28 - DEN: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
The Denver Broncos have a viable offense with Peyton Manning at the helm, however their defense needs to improve in order for the team to make a push at a title. LSU LB Kevin Minter (6-2, 242) should help that by shoring up the middle that is flanked by Pro Bowler Von Miller

29 - NE: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Bill Belichick seems to never select an obvious fan approving first round pick. With most of the fan base calling for a WR to be selected here, Belichick goes in another direction and selects Alabama OG/C Barrett Jones. Jones (6-5, 311) has a very high football IQ and can play virtually any position on the offensive line, including center. If that doesn't scream the "patriot way" then I do not know what else to think. Logan Mankins is also getting older by the day.

30 - ATL: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
One glaring need that was evident in the playoffs for the Falcons was the absence of a pass rusher opposite of the aging John Abraham. With a extremely deep class at DE the Flacons are able to select BYU DE Ezekiel Ansah. Ansah (6-6, 270) could become this year's Jason-Pierre Paul or Chandler Jones, smaller school with limited exposure but huge upside.

31 - SF: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
The 49ers have a fantastic defense, but they'll need to keep adding to it with some players growing older or heading into free agency. Justin Smith falls under both categories. He'll be entering his walk year at 34 several months following the 2013 NFL Draft. San Francisco will have to find a successor sometime soon. Enter UNC DT Sylvester Williams (6-3, 320), needs more development, but is an interesting prospect that should develop well in the 49ers system.

32 - BAL: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
While the biggest news this off season for the Ravens is the loss of leader and LB Ray Lewis, another key defender may also be on his way out, S Ed Reed. The Ravens should address the latter opening with their first round pick, as dominant safeties are hard to come by. Florida S Matt Elam was all over the field and always around the ball for Florida, making him a player that projects to develop into an Ed Reed type safety.

Above Average -- Dont see Frederick or Slyvester Williams as 1st rounders. Fisher is a stud but IMO Jets have bigger needs than a RT. Seawhawks could use another pass rusher but that is something Jenkins isnt. Floyd would be a better fit
