2/8 costrander3689's Mock Draft
1 - JAX: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
(Werner, DE) Wilson is a more complete QB than Glennon, which is why I have him here
2 - KC: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
(Smith, QB) Jones will nicely replace Glen Dorsey at 5-tech DE
3 - PHI: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
(Joekel, OT) The Eagles will be elated to see Elam on the board here
4 - DET: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
(Ansah, DE) Trufant has #1 CB ability and size, which the Lions badly need
5 - CIN: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
(Te'o, MLB) Bernard's speed and agility will fit nicely with BJGE's power
6 - ARI: Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
(Fisher, OT) I think the Cardinals will go after Alex Smith or Matt Flynn, but if not, Glennon would be a good pick here
7 - NYJ: Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State
(Barkley, QB) Wheaton should replace Holmes or start in the slot from Day 1
8 - TEN: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
(Warmack, OG) Montgomery is a steal here, and gives the Titans a young pass-rushing DE
9 - BUF: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
(Allen, WR) Marone gets his QB here. Nassib should quickly develop into a competent starter with the addition of Allen at WR
10 - MIA: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
(Patterson, WR) The Dolphins have other needs, but Okafor is too good to pass on here
11 - TB: Jonathan Jenkins, DT, Georgia
(Milliner, CB) The Bucs get a plug-DT to pair with McCoy
12 - CAR: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
(Floyd, DT) Chris Gamble will likely be cut, leaving a big hole at CB
13 - SD: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
(Johnson, OT) If the Chargers can get Johnson and Jones early, Phillip Rivers should start getting excited about next season
14 - STL: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
(Vacarro, S; Fluker, OT) Eifert would be a huge upgrade over Kendricks at TE
15 - DAL: T.J. McDonald, FS, USC
(Moore, DE) The Cowboys have been looking for safety help for a while now
16 - PIT: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
(J Jones, OLB) Hampton is slated for FA, and Williams would be a nice replacement
17 - NYG: Khaseem Greene, OLB, Rutgers
(Brown, MLB) Giants go w BPA, and get another LB to replace Boley
18 - CHI: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
(Cooper, OG) The Bears badly need a receiver at TE
19 - WAS: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Hunter and Pierre Garçon would be an excellent young WR tandem for RG3
20 - MIN: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
(Richardson, DT) Harvin is on the trade block. They will most likely move him, unlike last year
21 - CIN: Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
Andre Smith is slated for free agency, even if he returns, Thomas would be a nice pick here
22 - MIA: Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia
(from IND) Jake Long will likely be shown the door, which moves Martin to LT, and opens a hole at RT
23 - GB: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
(Cyprien, S) The Packers need a MLB, and Minter has good value here
24 - SEA: Kyle Long, OT, Oregon
(T Williams, WR) Carpenter will slide inside to guard, and Long can replace him at RT
25 - HOU: Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech
(Ogletree, MLB) Patton should immediately assume the #2 WR role for Houston
26 - DEN: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
(Banks, CB) If the Brons don't sign Bradshaw, Lacy would be a good grab for them
27 - NE: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
(Austin, WR) With Wilfork on the decline, drafting a big DT would be a good call
28 - ATL: Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin
(Kelce, TE) Getting a power back that can block would allow them to release Turner
29 - SF: Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
(Reid, S) CB will be a position for the 49ers to focus on this offseason
30 - BAL: Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama
(Woods, WR) Johnson an imperfect, but solid replacement for Ray Lewis at MLB
31 - CLE: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
(Jordan, DE) The Browns used their 2nd round pick to take Gordon in the Supplemental Draft
32 - NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
(Mingo, LB) The Saints forfeit their 2nd round picks in 2012, 2013 for Bounty Gate
